Bohdan Borzhemskij (b. 1923) had a distinguished artistic career of many decades. Over the years, Borzhemskij developed several distinct styles that have become facets of his creativity. He was educated in painting and drawing both in Ukraine and in the US which enabled him to work in a wide range of themes and techniques. He did portraits, still life and landscapes in oil, acrylic, and watercolor, as well as woodcuts and color prints produced using his own paper-cut technique. A moderate modernist, Borzhemskij balanced a decorative approach with realistic details in his expressive images of natural subjects, wood churches, and Hutsul people dressed in national attire.   Shipping not included in price
